ACCOUNT FUNDING

Your capital. Five times the buying power.

Approved investors can access eligible strategies with brokerage-provided buying power equal to five times their contribution. This allows smaller allocations to access more capital intensive strategies.

ACCOUNT FUNDING

Brokerage credit/buying power. Subject to approval and applicable terms.

Why 5X?

Some investment managers require starting allocations above what an individual investor wants to commit to one strategy.

5X account funding helps eligible investors meet those allocation requirements with a smaller personal contribution. The brokerage provides additional buying power, while the investor selects eligible strategies within the applicable terms.

Alongside Ribera’s sourcing and manager review, this structure can help make selected institutional strategies more accessible to private investors.

Illustrative calculations assume a constant return compounded monthly, reinvested profits and fixed initial brokerage credit. Funding costs, fees and taxes are excluded. Actual returns vary, losses can occur, and brokerage terms determine account closure and profit treatment.

Calculation assumptions

A simplified, editable illustration — not a statement of the brokerage’s actual reinvestment rules.

  • Buying power starts at five times your contribution, and the brokerage-provided part stays fixed at four times your initial contribution.
  • The annual return you choose is treated as an effective annual rate and converted into an equivalent monthly rate, m = (1 + R)^(1/12) − 1. It is never divided by twelve.
  • Profit after n months is P(n) = B × ((1 + m)ⁿ − 1), all profit is retained and reinvested, and all profit and loss accrues to your equity.
  • No further deposits or withdrawals, and no funding costs, fees, taxes or profit sharing.
  • The drawdown is a separate shock applied to the initial buying power, not a path combined with the positive-return illustration.

Examples illustrate buying power only. Strategy minimums, funding eligibility and brokerage terms apply.

RISK FRAMEWORK

How we adjust strategy risk

5X funding increases buying power, but we also adjust the position sizes of the underlying strategies. Before deploying a strategy with funding, we reduce its risk where needed so its scaled historical maximum equity drawdown is no more than 7.5% of funded account equity. Strategies already below this threshold do not require a reduction.

  1. Adjust risk before applying funding

Each strategy’s reported historical maximum equity drawdown determines the adjustment. For example, a strategy with a 15% historical drawdown would run at half its original position sizes (50% risk), producing a scaled historical drawdown estimate of 7.5% before funding.

  2. Translate risk into investor capital

At the starting 5X funding ratio, a 7.5% loss on the funded amount represents 37.5% of the investor’s initial contribution. The adjustment also reduces the strategy’s return potential accordingly before funding is applied.

  3. Apply a 10% equity stop

We deploy a safety equity stop at 10% of funded account equity. At the starting 5X funding ratio, this corresponds to 50% of the investor’s initial deposit. The 7.5% historical drawdown ceiling provides a buffer below that stop threshold.

Example: a $20,000 investment

Starting funded amount
$100,0005X the initial investment
Scaled historical drawdown estimate at 7.5%
$7,50037.5% of the initial investment
Equity-stop threshold at 10%
$10,00050% of the initial investment

Historical drawdown estimates are not guaranteed future loss limits. Equity stops are intended to limit losses, but execution delays, slippage, or market gaps can result in losses beyond the threshold. Investor-capital equivalents above use the starting funding ratio.

RISK MECHANICS

How first loss works.

Your contribution is the first-loss portion of the arrangement: losses are absorbed by your capital before the brokerage’s funding is affected.

Account risk controls and liquidation rules govern when exposure is reduced or closed. These controls help manage risk, but they do not eliminate losses or guarantee execution at a particular level.

The same exposure can increase profits or accelerate losses relative to your contribution.
